iooi. 16250 posts · Joined 2018. #12 · Apr 16, 2021. If you have auto hold, then press that before setting off (should show white on dash & will go green when you press & release brake) All you then need to do is set off and the brakes will auto come off. Hill starts are now a doddle.
16 posts · Joined 2011. #1 · Jul 21, 2013. I have a Ceed SW Estate 3 Automatic. At about 40,000 miles a problem suddenly occured with the automatic gearbox. It was as if the drive would not disengage causing a stall. Apparently the flywheel was the problem & it was replaced under warranty.
If it i the same as the C4, double clutch electrically operated manual/auto box, there are various driving methods.1) just put gear lever to drive/auto/whatever, and drive like an auto. 2) move gear lever to manual, and use either paddles or lever to change gear - should go into 1st. when stopped at lights, etc.
Post by devilcup onAug 20, 2010 at 2:46am. same here, 1st gear have abit of problem when cold. the best way to is engage either 3rd or 4th gear then reengage 1st gear again. for those have 2nd gear problem, most probably is gear oil problem. for manual picanto, only 1st and reverse gear have a bit problem to engage. this is normal.
An automatic also has a set number of gears, but it uses a hydraulic system that responds to pressure created by the conditions to determine the gear needed without any input from the driver.
