This was because, at his point in time, the player count was gradually decreasing due to newer versions of the game in market, which now made it easier to recognize the regulars. Thanks. Many people still play it with a average about 500 players at any given time. Though there are currently a low player count due to server issues that is preventing a lot of people from logging on. Not many active AU/NZ servers, but I personally don't have a lot of lag problems playing on non-regional low ping servers.
