The Domaine is located in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, one of the sunniest and warmest part of the appellation. Their plots are located on the localities of Gallimardes, Crouscroute, Petites Serres and Grand Coulet .All of which have very good soil for the proper development of the vines. 09/20/18 05:08 PM. 3133 posts. We took a mini-van tour in 2014 from Avignon that included a visit to Chateauneuf du Pape. I was expecting CdP to be the highlight of the tour, but it wasn't. We went to Beaurenard. The tour was excellent and the wine was good, but IMHO, not THAT good. Not as good as Priorat or Tuscan wines.
